VeryDarkMan: We’re not aware of missing N180m NGO funds – Police

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command says it is not aware of any reported disappearance of N180 million from the account of a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) run by social critic Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), neither is it investigating the case. Tribune reported that when contacted on Saturday, December 28, the FCT Police Command spokesperson Josephine Adeh, said the command has no knowledge of the case. The FCT Police Command is not aware of any case involving VDMs missing funds and is not conducting any investigation into it. The individual in question should be contacted to clarify where the matter was reported, as there is no record of such a case with the FCT Police Command, she said Recall that VDM released a video on his IG page on Friday claiming that some persons hacked his website and moved N180 million from the account, leaving only N20 million. Ive not been myself these past few days. Somebody hacked into the NGO website, and N180 million is missing. Thankfully, weve tracked the person, and one suspect has been arrested. The account is now on PND (Post No Debit).
