Traditional rulers in Ghana institute fines against child marriage

Traditional rulers in the Jirapa District in Ghana have come in conclusion to announce that any parent who gives out his or her daughter, who is less than 18 years old for marriage, would be reported to the security agencies for action to be taken against them.
They also said anyone who abducts, elopes or impregnates a girl, less than 18 years would be fined 1,500 Ghana Cedi, a ram and two
