Nigerian entertainment journalist, Joey Akan has taken to Twitter to lament about streaming manipulation which has continued to be a source of concern in the music industry.In a series of tweets, Joey said stream farming gained prominence in the industry with artists’ obsession with bragging about leading the music chart with their songs. He also said stream farming is a moral crime and that artists engaging in it, are doing so to deceive their fans, business partners, and even their colleagues. Akan also accused an artiste of hiring a stream farmer to work on his song by increasing the streams through the use of robots or multiple phones. He said when Apple discovered the illegality, they pulled the song down and the artiste called police on the farmer he paid to work on his song.Read his tweet below.
