NRC staff, his wife and daughter die in Kaduna fire

A staff of the Nigeria Railway Corporation, his wife and their daughter were burnt to death during a fire incident in Kafanchan town in Jemaa Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Residents said they saw smoke coming out of the house around 11 pm on Tuesday night, April 4, 2023.  A neighbour of the victims, Maikano Abdullahi, who also lost his properties in the fire, explained that all efforts made by those who came to the house to rescue the family members failed. “I woke up upon hearing my wife shouting for help as fire gutted Zainabs room which is next to our room. What happened was terrible. We tried our best to break the door at the time of the fire incident but we couldnt enter because the door was locked. Unfortunately, the couple; Abdurrahman Abdullahi aka Danjummai, his wife, Zainab Nuhu, and their daughter, Husna, all lost their lives in the inferno before we succeeded in breaking the door, he said. The Jemaa Emirate Council through the Madakin Jamaa and the District Head of Fada, Alhaji Audi Muhammad, and the Council Chairman, Jemaa Local Government, Yunana Barde, paid a condolence visit to the family members of the deceased at their home in Jemaa Street, Kafanchan after the burial according to Islamic rites.   The post NRC staff, his wife and daughter die in Kaduna fire appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
