Nigerian govt gives guidelines on wearing face mask for babies
The National Orientation Agency, NOA, has warned the general public against wearing face mask for babies in this coronavirus pandemic.
In a tweet shared, NOA stated that babies under the age of two should never be worn a face mask.
The agency also stated that if a face mask must be worn for a babyy above the age of two who would be carried on the back, then close attention should be given to avoid suffocation.
The agency tweeted: “NOA #COVID19 SENSITIZATION CAMPAIGN
“Face mask or covering not for babies under 2 years. Prevent babies from health challenges that may arise from it.
“Be careful when you wear face masks for babies above the age of 2”.
