The Super Falcons of Nigeria on Thursday, August 3 returned to training at the Lions FC Stadium in Australia after enjoying two-days off ahead of their 2023 FIFA Womens World Cup round of 16 clash with England. While the Super Falcons drew 0-0 with the Republic of Ireland to finish second in Group B and qualify for the round of 16, England thrashed China 6-1 in their last group game to finish top of Group D ensuring a match against Nigeria in the next round.At 8:30 a.m. on Monday, August 7, the Three Lionesses and the Super Falcons will clash in Brisbane, Australia for the quarter-finals ticket. This will be their second meeting at the World Cup.
