#LagosCityMarathon: Athlete runs mad during race

The 2019 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon has just ended but not without some drama.

An unnamed participant began to display signs of insanity and was heard saying, “I’m the most powerful man”.

Instablog9ja reports that the athlete attempted to attack medical personnel attending to him but was later calmed with the help of injections and was taken away in an ambulance for further treatment.

The marathon was won by Ethiopian athlete, Sintayehu Legese who walked away with $50,000.

The man could be heard saying: “I’m the most powerful man,” while trying to attack the medical personnel attending to him. . . He was later calmed down by some injections, before being taken away in an ambulance.
