Israel designates Iran’s central bank as a ‘terror organisation’

Israel has declared Irans Central Bank a terrorist organisation, accusing it of serving as a conduit for terrorism. The move came amid escalating tensions following Irans execution of three men accused of spying for Israel. Despite the tensions, a US-brokered ceasefire between the two countries remains in effect. Israels Minister of Defence, Israel Katz, said, I signed today a special order declaring Iran’s Central Bank a terrorist organization, at the request of the Mossad and the National Economic Warfare Headquarters, aimed at striking at the heart of the Iranian terror regime’s financing system. Iran’s Central Bank is a conduit that funnels billions to murderous terrorism. We will hit the places that hurt the Ayatollah regime the most, which funds Hezbollah’s terrorism, the Houthis, Shiite militias in Iraq, Hamas, and in Judea and Samaria through the Revolutionary Guards. He added, No regime element involved in terrorism has immunity. We will continue to expose, strike, and dry up the Iranian axis of evil wherever it operates. Meanwhile, Iran executed three men convicted of spying for Israels Mossad, according to the judiciarys Mizan news agency. The men were reportedly hanged for collaborating with Mossad and smuggling equipment used in an assassination, though further details were not provided. Up to 700 people have also been arrested for alleged ties with Israel, state-affiliated Nournews reported. The recent conflict between Iran and Israel followed 12 days of intense fighting, ending with a US-mediated ceasefire after the United States bombed Iranian nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Both Tehran and Tel Aviv accused each other of violating the truce, prompting sharp criticism from former President Donald Trump. Trump later affirmed the ceasefire was in place and stated, Israel would not attack Iran. He added that Israeli planes were turning back and sent a conciliatory message to Iran, assuring that no one would be harmed. The conflict was triggered by Israeli allegations that Iran was close to developing nuclear weapons, claims which Tehran denies. The post Israel designates Iran’s central bank as a terror organisation appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
