FCT police arrest three wanted kidnappers linked to multiple abductions

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested three wanted kidnappers and bandits linked to multiple abductions in Kaduna and parts of FCT.  The suspects are Abdulkadir Abubakar, 25-year-old Mohammed Tasiu Sani and 27-year-old Suleiman Jibrin, were apprehended on Sunday, June 29, 2025, following a coordinated intelligence-led operation that spanned Wukushi in Mpape and Rigina in Kaduna. The spokesperson of the command, Josephine Adeh, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday said the arrested suspects operated notorious kidnapping camps within the Kachia and Rigina forests in Kaduna State According to the PPRO, the camps served as detention sites for kidnap victims and have been linked to multiple abductions across Jere, Kajuru, and parts of the FCT. In the continued effort to rid the Federal Capital Territory and its environs of all forms of criminality, the operatives of the Command, acting on strategic directive of the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Ajao Adewale, have achieved a breakthrough with the arrest of three notorious and wanted kidnappers/bandits, the statement read. “The arrest was carried out on 29th June, 2025, on the heels of an actionable intelligence and a well-coordinated operation led by ACP Victor O. Godfrey, spanning Wukushi, Mpape in the FCT, and Rigina, Kaduna State, led to the arrest of Abdulkadir Abubakar of Mpape, FCT, Mohammed Tasiu Sani, 25 years, of Rigina, Kaduna State, and Suleiman Jibrin, 27 years, from Sabon-Gayan, Kaduna State. “The suspects were known to operate deadly camps within the forests of Kachia and Rigina in Kaduna State, where victims were held for extended periods and have been linked to several kidnapping incidents across Jere, Kajuru, and parts of the Federal Capital Territory. Adeh said an operational motorcycle, commonly referred to as a Boko Haram motorcycle, was recovered during the operation, and efforts are ongoing to recover more weapons and arrest other fleeing accomplices. She added that the suspects are currently in custody and are assisting the police with further investigations to dismantle their criminal network. She noted that their arrest marks a significant step in the commands efforts to restore peace and security across the territory. The post FCT police arrest three wanted kidnappers linked to multiple abductions appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
